Lifeline is the Federal Communications Commission’s program to help make communications services more affordable for low-income consumers. Low-income consumers may be eligible for the Lifeline monthly benefit which is applied towards phone or internet services. The Lifeline service is non-transferable and only eligible consumers may enroll in the program. The program is limited to one discount per household. Toll blocking is available at no charge for low-income customers that qualify.
